Day 052 and a bit of 053

Spent the earlier part of Saturday at Karen's place playing hide and seek with the girls. I managed to finish a couple of readings for school while they hid from me under the stairwell. After that, I ate strawberries and 4 fifths of the fudge from Steeple's Deli as they hid behind the curtains, which surprisingly took me a half hour to do. Quinn, on the other hand, is still at that age where he enjoys pretending to be a log. The only times he breaks out of character is when he is hungry, and when his sisters mistake him for the rope in tug war. He is also very fascinated by ceiling fans.

Came home and skyped with Steve, who fyi was born only a couple of years before me, but has spent the last 2 weeks island hopping in the Maldives, and the previous months alternating between surfing in Bali and befriending the malnourished in Penon Penh. The concept of homework and classrooms is very foreign to him.

Spent the entire time right up till dinner trying to beat Steve's high score on the Bueno Nachos Game. L4D and Dota is so last year- It's time to get with the program, kids!

Sat by the pool after dinner, and listened to Copeland's latest album on Nashon's iPod. If you too have slackened, and the last song added to your iTunes library was a Christmas carol ruined by a pop starlet, you need to be cool and stop slacking. Remove the Christmas carol immediately, and download You Are My Sunshine.

Got home and went ape- shit over the phone with Andrew. By far, The Messiest Fight of '09. Anyway, we almost did not make it in time for the Body of Christ this morning, because of a number of things. For one, I had an unforeseen wardrobe situation which forced me to change my top 4 times. And my bottoms, twice. But the major delay, if you ask me, was the wait for the bus. Approximated waiting time: Just slightly over an eternity. Haa.......

Left to have Indian food for brunch and a good time. You're so foxy to me. I'm so lucky.

I must get into the shower now. Have a good week, everyone!

Day 051

Hey guys! Please don't let the new font I'm using frighten or freak you out. In actual fact, Courier is pretty rad. I wore my new wedge platform pumps out to town today. It's quite a nice feeling, being able to see the top of almost everyone's head for a change. We had something like 8 scoops of ice cream before catching the Almost last train home.

Anyway, weheartit.com is insane! Check it out if you haven't already. Have to make some calls before bed. Love you all. Good stuff soon

Day 050

Dear readers,

I know you are there because my live traffic feed, FEEDJIT, tells me so. Share with me how you keep busy during the 9- 5 hours, where your mommy birthed you, who you love spending your 5- 11 hours with, what kind of dreams you have, even what you fill your bellies with. Along with any other bits of information about yourself you'd enjoy to give up! If you will, I'm a bit stuck as to what kind of things I should be filling this space with. More personal? Or more of "Here are my interests in the areas of Fashion, Art, and Beyond."? Perhaps I should devote this space entirely to lamenting about schoolwork. More photos of Andrew, shirtless?

Anyway, a lot is going on. I'm trying to smile more despite how awkward it makes me feel/look, keep up with my friends who aren't in college with me, and also exploit the dudes at school (free labour). Not to mention, keeping up with readings printed in a ridiculous font size like -11, and non- existant entertainment values. (I'm still very into Roald Dahl.)

Goodnight now, and enjoy your weekend!

Kindest regards,
Justine

Day 046

Hi babes. My pal Amelia lives in the forest now, among grizzlies and grasshoppers.

Taken off her weblog:

HEY ALL.
if you guys haven't heard. A forest fire in Aussie burnt down the place i was living in so like everything is burnt. WTH.

Totally WTH, man.

(Hi Amey, we think about you constantly.)

Anyway, been busy with school stuff all week. Mostly after school hours stuff. Nut and I sit side by side during tutorials and lectures, making it our 9th year together. Although, I think I might start sitting next to Michelle soon. I firmly believe that once you've experienced something 5000 times, you need to move on. (Taking public transport, answering the phone, binomial expansion, etc.)

Andrew is officially the cream cheese to my bagel. (How cheesy.) We had a good time yesterday.

I hope everyone else had a sexy weekend. Cya

Howdy ho guys! Sorry for being le irresponsible teen, but I've been busy trying to make new friends at college all week. (Great success!) For some very odd reason, people with flour on their faces, mud in their shoes, and grass in their shorts are the most approachable.

"Hey..... You like animals?"

All right, going to join my college index group on Facebook now. I hope everyone else had an amazing week. Only good things coming your way!

Day 032

Hi everyone! I'm just like "Hell! What was I thinking applying to do Science in college?" right now. I mean, was I even? I vaguely remember that while getting my college applications done online at the very last minute, I was also concentrating hard on eating only the vowels of my Alpha- Bits, and watching Lorelai have a heated argument with her mother. (Gilmore Girls, Season 3) I can't recall a time when doing 2 or more things at once was ever easy for me.

All right, maybe there was that one time a few weeks ago: I was tying the laces to my shoe, humming the tune of Mrs. Robinson, and watching my neighbour's SUV reverse out of their driveway- All at the same time. Which after doing, I thought was pretty easy to do.

Ooh! And at dance trainings last year, I'd be required to raise an arm, stomp my left leg to a beat, and jiggle my bottom- All at the same time. Wasn't easy at first, but I eventually got the hang of things. (Feel free to check out our arm raising, left leg stomping, bottom jiggling videos on YouTube.) Surprise, surprise. I don't know why I never mentioned before this, that I used to raise my arm, stomp my left leg, and jiggle my bottom, every day after school- At least on the days that I wasn't out dating Andrew.

So......... Going back to "Hell! What was I thinking applying to do Science in college?". What's the difference between an AC motor and a DC motor? (Besides the A and D.) And, what? Weight's a force? What gives? And, uhhh.... Who cares?

Anyway, here is a list of things that I've been mentally preparing myself for, since 3 hours ago:

1) Removing my nail polish.
In my opinion, Art students should be allowed to wear nail polish to school. And since Art students are allowed to wear nail polish to school, Science students should also be allowed to wear nail polish to school. Therefore, everyone should be allowed to wear nail polish to school. This is only about fairness and equality.

2) Shaving/epilating/waxing my legs more regularly again.
I'll be around boys more often. Boys(creeps) tend to look at girls' legs. What gives, boys? What gives?

3) I guess my underarms too.
Aha, I hope Mariah reads this!

4) Physical education.
Sarah just reminded me that I kind of know someone who is a doctor. If I play my cards right, I might be able to get my hands on a letter of excuse from any form of physical activity for.... Forever. Be wise- Make use of your resources, guys.

5) School hours, which are both early and long.
My day usually begins 20 minutes before my lunch. After which, I return to bed for a 3 hour nap. I basically need about 15 hours of sleep to function as a normal human being- Chew on food, walk up steps, work the TV controls, etc. And a couple of extra hours on top of that, if I'm planning on cracking a few jokes that day. Are college kids superhuman kids, or what? (I say superhuman kids!)

I sound 5. Can't believe I'm actually going to go to college. To get an education. To use a graphing calculator. And..... A few other things.

I've to get up in a couple of hours to say "Hi" to God. Goodnight! Good morning. (Whatever.)
